Step onto our Mezzanine and you'll find yourself overlooking the bustling courtyard below, where Edinburgh's West End crowd gathers for after-work drinks and weekend celebrations. This elevated space combines the raw beauty of exposed brick walls with the warmth of green pendant lights, creating an atmosphere that feels both industrial and intimate. We've designed the Mezzanine to work brilliantly for different party styles. For cocktail receptions, we can host up to 60 guests who'll enjoy mingling around our mix of high tables and cozy seating areas. When you're planning a seated dinner party, we arrange our long communal tables and round tables to accommodate 36 guests comfortably. The metal and leather chairs might look industrial, but they're surprisingly comfortable for those longer celebrations. What makes this space particularly special is how it changes with the seasons. During summer parties, we open the retractable roof above, letting natural light flood in and giving your guests a glimpse of Edinburgh's sky. Come winter, the space transforms into a cozy retreat, with our heating keeping everyone warm while they watch the courtyard action through the mesh railings below. The semi-private nature of our Mezzanine means your party maintains its own energy while still feeling connected to the venue's atmosphere. We've hosted everything here, from 40th birthday parties where guests enjoyed our Thai-spiced calamari and craft cocktails, to engagement celebrations featuring our mix of Mexican street tacos and French-style moules marinières. Getting here couldn't be easier, with Princes Street just a short walk away. Whether your guests are coming straight from work or making a night of it in the city center, they'll find us tucked away on Charlotte Lane, ready to help you celebrate in style.
