The Thomas Wright Room welcomes up to 60 guests into a Georgian space where original herringbone parquet meets soaring windows overlooking our gardens. We've watched countless celebrations unfold here - from intimate wedding dinners to lively birthday parties, each one making the most of the room's natural warmth. Those tall windows do something magical throughout the day. Morning events get flooded with eastern light, while afternoon gatherings enjoy the gentle glow as the sun moves west across our two-acre gardens. The original fireplace anchors one end of the room, creating a natural focal point whether you're planning cocktails and canapés or a formal seated dinner for 50. We've kept the bones of the 1767 architecture intact - the high ceilings give everything a sense of occasion, while the neutral walls let you add your own colour scheme through flowers, lighting or decorations. The herringbone floor has hosted everything from jazz quartets to DJs, and yes, it's perfect for dancing. Practically speaking, we've sorted all the essentials. Our Wi-Fi handles whatever your guests throw at it, the PA system means speeches carry beautifully, and we have projectors and screens tucked away for when you need them. The room connects seamlessly to our gardens through French doors, so summer parties naturally spill outside for drinks on the lawn. Getting here couldn't be easier - North Dulwich station is a short walk through the neighbourhood, and we have our own car park for those driving. The Thomas Wright Room sits on our accessible ground floor, with step-free access throughout. Most parties here seem to follow a natural rhythm: arrival drinks by the windows, dinner as the light softens, then dancing or mingling as evening settles in. The space adapts to whatever atmosphere you're after.
