Wine barrels transformed into tables greet you as you enter The Barrels, our semi-private space that brings together 80 years of Sicilian winemaking tradition with Bristol's contemporary spirit. We've designed this room to feel like stepping into a friend's Italian villa, where exposed brick walls meet modern comforts and pendant lights cast a warm glow over your celebration. The space welcomes up to 80 guests for standing receptions or 35 for seated dining, with high chairs around our signature barrel tables and traditional seating for more formal occasions. Large windows flood the room with natural light during daytime events, while evenings take on an intimate atmosphere as the soft lighting plays across the brick walls and greenery we've carefully placed throughout. Your guests will have exclusive access to our private bar, where we pour wines from our family's Sicilian vineyard alongside cocktails and local beers. The projector, microphone and PA system are yours to use, whether you're bringing in a DJ, arranging live music, or creating your own playlist. We find the acoustics work particularly well for speeches and toasts. Our kitchen prepares everything fresh, from generous antipasti platters piled high with Italian meats and cheeses to homemade pasta and pizza straight from our ovens. The tiramisu and panna cotta have become talking points at countless celebrations here. We cater happily for vegetarian and vegan guests with dishes that showcase the same authentic Italian flavours. Just minutes from Bristol Temple Meads station at 1 Glass Wharf, The Barrels hosts everything from milestone birthdays and engagement parties to baby showers and corporate gatherings. We offer the space on a free venue hire basis (terms apply), working closely with you to ensure every detail reflects your vision for the perfect Italian-inspired celebration.
