The Private Dining Room sits on the first floor of our Victorian Gothic building, where tin ceilings meet velvet chairs and mounted antlers watch over your celebrations. We've kept the original architectural details intact, from the distressed metalwork overhead to the high windows that flood the space with natural light during daytime events. The centrepiece is our long wooden table, which seats 26 guests comfortably for dinner parties, birthday celebrations, or engagement gatherings. When you prefer a more fluid format, we can reconfigure the room to accommodate 45 standing guests for cocktail receptions or networking events. Those plush velvet-upholstered chairs aren't just for show, they're genuinely comfortable for long dinners where conversation flows as freely as the wine. Our vintage chandeliers cast warm light across the eclectic artwork covering the walls, creating an atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate. The bohemian touches throughout the room give it personality without overwhelming your own event styling. We've installed air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable year-round, plus a sound system that connects to your playlist, so you control the mood from first arrival to final farewell. The room's versatility extends to timing too, available for daytime meetings or evening parties. Our kitchen team can create menus specifically for your group, drawing from the same seasonal British and modern European dishes served in our main restaurant. From canapés during standing receptions to multi-course seated dinners, we adapt our offering to match your event style.
