The Club Room brings together everything that makes The Counting House special in one intimate space. Rich mahogany panels line the walls, their deep grain catching the light from our original Victorian chandelier, while the heavy burgundy carpet absorbs sound to create perfect acoustics for confidential discussions or celebration toasts. We've arranged this ground-floor room around a polished central table that seats six comfortably, though we often see groups of eight mingling during drinks receptions. The large gilt-framed mirrors amplify the chandelier's warm light and make the space feel larger, while our collection of period artwork adds character without overwhelming the room's refined atmosphere. For business gatherings, we've mounted a 50-inch screen discreetly within the traditional decor, and our reliable Wi-Fi handles video conferences without a hitch. The air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable year-round, particularly appreciated during summer board meetings or when the room fills for standing receptions. Our PA system integrates seamlessly when needed for presentations or speeches. The room works beautifully for different occasions throughout the day. Morning strategy sessions benefit from the natural light filtering through from the main banking hall, while evening celebrations take on a more intimate feel as the chandelier creates pools of golden light. Our kitchen can serve anything from working lunches to cocktail canapés, and with our licence running until 11pm, after-work celebrations often extend into proper parties. Being just three minutes from Bank station means guests arrive easily, even for early meetings. The ground-floor location requires no stairs from our main entrance, and we've ensured full wheelchair access throughout.
