Three hundred years of brick and timber frame our Lower Basement, where wedding celebrations and birthday parties come alive beneath The Magpie & Stump. We've kept the original exposed brickwork that's been here since Tudor times, paired with warm lantern lighting that casts a golden glow across the space as your guests arrive through our private entrance. Our versatile room welcomes up to 130 guests for drinks and dancing, or we can arrange seating for 80 if you're planning a banquet-style celebration. The wooden tables and vintage photographs on the walls tell stories of centuries past, while our fully stocked bar keeps the present moment flowing with everything from craft beers to classic cocktails.
