Walking through the heavy oak doors, your guests encounter soaring windows that flood the space with natural light, illuminating the intricate wooden carvings that line the walls. The memorial of Thomas Sutton, who founded our charitable mission over 400 years ago, stands as a testament to the building's enduring legacy. Originally the chapterhouse of a medieval monastery, the chapel retains its contemplative atmosphere while offering surprisingly versatile acoustics that work equally well for string quartets, spoken presentations, or amplified performances. We regularly transform this historic space for musical performances, where the original architecture creates natural acoustics that performers particularly appreciate. Corporate clients use the theatre-style seating for product launches and conferences, while private celebrations benefit from the chapel's unique character. The windows overlooking Chapel Court provide a peaceful backdrop, and the flexibility to bring in external caterers means you can serve anything from champagne receptions to seated dinners in our adjoining spaces.
