The Great Hall Burgundy chairs await your guests beneath a ceiling that tells its own story through centuries of craftsmanship. Here in our Great Hall, the elaborate plasterwork overhead has watched over countless celebrations since 1635, creating an atmosphere that modern venues simply cannot replicate. We accommodate up to 80 guests for ceremonies or reception drinks, with flexible arrangements that suit your wedding vision. The grand fireplace commands attention at one end of the room, its carved stonework providing the perfect backdrop for exchanging vows. Oak panelling lines the walls, each panel hand-crafted by Jacobean artisans whose work has survived nearly 400 years. When sunlight streams through the tall windows, it catches the gold details in the plasterwork and brings warmth to the rich wood tones that surround you. We arrange seating to suit your ceremony style, whether you prefer traditional rows or a more intimate semi-circle around the fireplace. For wedding breakfasts, long banquet tables transform the space, with candelabras casting gentle light across fine china place settings. The acoustics, enhanced by the wooden panels, carry voices beautifully without amplification, though we provide modern sound equipment when needed. Our Grade I listed building on Trinity Road sits within parkland that offers endless possibilities for photographs. The Long Gallery upstairs provides dramatic architectural backdrops, while the gardens invite couples to wander among mature trees and manicured lawns between ceremony and reception. Just a few miles from Birmingham City Centre, we're easily reached by your guests while feeling wonderfully removed from urban life. Three-hour wedding packages start at £2,000, extending to £3,000 for six hours. Please note that while our Great Hall offers level access, the historic staircases to upper floors remain in their original form.
