Forty-seven metres of books stretch above your guests as they dine in our Long Library, where over 10,000 volumes line the walls from floor to soaring ceiling. The Willis Organ presides over this remarkable space, its pipes reaching upward through the Baroque architecture while your event unfolds beneath columns and intricate moldings that have witnessed centuries of gatherings. Through the grand windows, the Water Terraces unfold before you, their geometric patterns leading the eye across to the Great Lake beyond. We arrange tables along the library's impressive length, creating an intimate dining experience for up to 300 seated guests, or configure the space for standing receptions of 500, where conversations flow between the towering bookcases and beneath the warm glow of our chandeliers. Corporate dinners take on new significance here, board meetings become memorable occasions, and gala events gain a sense of history that modern venues simply cannot replicate. Our in-house catering team works from kitchens that have served palace guests for generations, creating menus that range from traditional British fare to contemporary cuisine. We accommodate all dietary requirements, including halal, vegan and gluten-free options, while our licensed bar serves everything from champagne toasts to after-dinner cognacs.
