We've arranged the planting chronologically, so your drinks reception might start among heritage roses and medicinal herbs, then flow naturally into areas showcasing later garden fashions. The structured hedges and carefully placed topiaries create natural boundaries between conversation groups, while colourful irises, fragrant roses, and seasonal blooms provide talking points throughout your event. The Period Gardens work beautifully for summer parties and barbecues, with space for up to 80 guests to move freely between the different garden rooms. Our Grade I listed almshouses provide an elegant backdrop, their weathered brick and historic windows creating atmosphere without any decoration needed. We often see hosts setting up drinks stations in different period sections, letting guests discover each area at their own pace.
