The Regency Room comes alive when twenty-four guests gather around its magnificent banquet table, conversations flowing as freely as the wine while Regent's Park spreads out beyond the balcony doors. We've hosted everything from milestone birthday dinners to intimate wedding celebrations in this first-floor sanctuary, where Georgian grandeur meets contemporary comfort. Daylight pours through the original arched windows, illuminating the elaborate plasterwork and cornicing that has watched over countless toasts and speeches. The working fireplace, crowned by an imposing gilt mirror, creates a natural focal point where guests naturally congregate with drinks before dinner. We dress the long table with crisp linens and seasonal flowers from our regular florist, though many hosts bring their own touches to personalise the space. The room's proportions are generous without feeling overwhelming. High ceilings give breathing space to animated dinner party conversations, while the warm neutral palette keeps the atmosphere intimate rather than formal. Those French doors opening onto the balcony prove irresistible during summer parties, when guests drift outside between courses to catch the evening breeze off the park. Transport couldn't be simpler, with Camden Town and Mornington Crescent stations both within a five-minute walk. Guests arriving by car appreciate the proximity to Regent's Park's outer circle, though most find public transport more convenient given our central location.
