The Gatehouse at The Stafford London invites you into three stories of refined British comfort, where original wooden beams meet contemporary artwork in spaces that feel both grand and intimate. This private suite has become our most requested venue for exclusive gatherings, and the moment you step through its private entrance, you'll understand why. Spread across the ground floor, you'll find an open-plan living and dining area where we've preserved the original fireplace that has warmed these rooms for generations. Deep red armchairs and a tufted sofa create natural conversation corners, while the round wooden dining table with its intricately carved chairs seats your guests comfortably for dinner parties or working lunches. Natural light pours through the large windows throughout the day, catching the vibrant contemporary pieces we've hung alongside more traditional artwork. The Gatehouse handles up to 20 guests for standing receptions, though we find groups of 15 enjoy the most comfortable flow through the space. Our technical setup includes high-speed Wi-Fi, a discreet PA system for presentations or speeches, and air conditioning that keeps everyone comfortable year-round. The flatscreen TV above the fireplace serves equally well for corporate presentations or match-day gatherings. Your guests can arrive directly through the suite's private entrance, avoiding the main hotel lobby entirely when discretion matters. We're tucked on a quiet street where St James's meets Mayfair, with Green Park Underground just minutes away. Piccadilly's energy and Buckingham Palace gardens both lie within a five-minute stroll, making pre or post-event activities remarkably convenient.
