The Green Room at The Walbrook Club welcomes up to 12 guests into a space where Victorian craftsmanship meets contemporary art. Our magnificent olive wood table, a genuine Victorian piece, commands the room with its rich grain and polished surface, surrounded by deep red upholstered chairs that encourage long conversations over dinner or focused discussions during meetings. Ben Johnson's contemporary painting of Venice's Cini Foundation dominates one wall, its architectural precision offering a striking counterpoint to the room's patterned wallpaper and traditional furnishings. Natural light pours through our large windows during daytime events, while table lamps cast a warm glow for evening gatherings, creating different moods as the day progresses. We've equipped the room with everything needed for modern business, including Wi-Fi, projector facilities, and conference call capabilities, all discreetly integrated to maintain the room's character. The space works equally well for breakfast meetings that benefit from the morning light, working lunches around the oval table, or celebration dinners where guests linger over coffee and conversation. Our kitchen team, working to standards established by Albert Roux, creates menus tailored to each event, whether that's a light breakfast spread, a three-course dinner, or canapés for a drinks reception. The intimate scale means we can adapt service styles to suit, from formal plated dinners to more relaxed buffet arrangements. The Green Room's position within our Queen Anne townhouse offers privacy while keeping you moments from Cannon Street Station and the City's main offices. Guests often comment on finding such a personal space tucked away from the financial district's bustle, yet so conveniently placed for bringing people together.
