The Tower House sits at the edge of our meadow, its double-height windows framing views across polo fields and the lake beyond. We've kept the original exposed brickwork and that magnificent open fireplace - they give the space real character, especially when the fire's crackling during winter events. Walking in through the private entrance, guests always comment on the light. Those floor-to-ceiling windows do something special throughout the day, particularly at sunset when the whole room takes on this golden glow. The balcony wraps around two sides, and we often see people stepping out during breaks just to take in the countryside views. We can arrange the space quite differently depending on what you need. For formal dinners, we set a long table that seats 30, dressed in white linens with seasonal flowers from our gardens. The same room works brilliantly for presentations with theatre seating for 30, or we can configure it boardroom-style for 18. Cocktail parties flow naturally here too - we can accommodate 50 guests who tend to drift between the main room and balcony. The combination of that soaring ceiling and intimate fireplace creates an interesting dynamic. Corporate groups appreciate the privacy - you're completely separate from the main house here - while wedding parties love the romance of the architecture. We've hosted everything from board meetings to birthday celebrations, and the space adapts beautifully. Our events team knows every corner of The Tower House and can advise on lighting, layout and logistics. The Michelin-starred Woven restaurant handles catering when needed, though some groups prefer more casual dining from The Barn. Either way, the kitchen access works smoothly for service. The surrounding parkland becomes part of your event too. Teams often break out onto the meadow for activities, and evening receptions spill naturally onto the balcony.
