Those hanging lanterns in our Main Hall create something quite magical for wedding celebrations. We've hosted ceremonies and receptions here since 1929, and each couple brings their own story to these wood-panelled walls. The space transforms beautifully, whether you're planning an intimate gathering of 100 guests seated for your wedding breakfast or opening up the full hall for 250 during your evening reception. Our original wood paneling catches the warm glow from the decorative lighting, while the high ceilings give your celebration room to breathe. Many couples take advantage of our stage for their band or DJ, and musicians consistently tell us they love performing here thanks to the natural acoustics. We can arrange round tables with soft linens for your banquet, creating an elegant setting that lets your personal touches shine through. Beyond the Main Hall, our venue offers flexibility for different parts of your day. The Library upstairs, with its book-lined walls and natural light, provides a more intimate space if you'd like somewhere quieter for your ceremony before moving downstairs for the reception. The Brockway Room works wonderfully as a preparation space or for smaller guest groups who might appreciate a quieter spot during the festivities. We're right in the heart of Holborn, just minutes from the underground station, so your guests won't struggle to find us or get home afterwards. The ground floor, including our Main Hall, is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible facilities available. Our in-house catering team handles halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free requirements regularly, and we'll work with you to create the menu you envision. The venue comes with high-speed Wi-Fi and AV facilities built in, making it simple to share your day with those who can't attend in person. Our central London location means plenty of nearby hotels for out-of-town guests, and the historic character of the building gives your photos a distinctive backdrop you won't find in more conventional wedding venues.
