Deep blue walls and marble bar counters greet you as you enter the Ground Floor Bar at Orelle, where Birmingham's business crowd mingles over our signature Gold 75 cocktails. We've designed this space specifically for drinks receptions and networking events, with room for 60 guests standing or 40 seated across our mix of high bar stools and blue velvet booths. The bar runs along one wall, its polished marble surface reflecting the warm glow from our carefully positioned lighting. Behind it, glassware hangs ready while our bartenders craft everything from classic martinis to that famous Gold 75 – Tanqueray 10 Gin mixed with Choya Yuzu and fresh lemon, finished with Taittinger Champagne. Plants cascade from the shelving, softening the sophisticated atmosphere we've created with mirrors and eclectic artwork covering the walls. For cocktail parties, we arrange the space to encourage mingling, with high tables scattered throughout and our booth seating providing spots for more intimate conversations. Corporate drinks work particularly well here, as groups can flow naturally between the bar area and seating zones. The ground floor location means your guests can easily pop in from Colmore Row, and we're just minutes from Birmingham New Street station. Our semi-private setup strikes the right balance – you have your own defined area while still enjoying the energy of the venue. Natural light streams in during afternoon events, while evenings take on a more intimate feel with our ambient lighting creating pockets of warmth throughout the space. Wi-Fi and air conditioning come standard, and our events team coordinates directly with the kitchen upstairs if you'd like to add canapés or small plates to complement the drinks service.
