The Oak Room captures everything we love about hosting celebrations at Coworth Park. Sunlight streams through dual aspect windows, catching the copper oak leaf sculpture that hangs from the ceiling like autumn frozen in time. This 48m² Georgian room on the ground floor of our Mansion House has become a favourite for both intimate wedding receptions and milestone birthday parties. We've furnished the space with leather chairs that guests sink into during dinner parties, while the flexible layout means we can transform it completely between events. For cocktail receptions, we can accommodate up to 50 guests who often spill out onto the adjoining terrace when weather permits. More formal seated dinners work beautifully here too, with space for 30 at round tables where conversation flows as easily as the champagne. The private entrance means your party arrives to their own welcome, away from other areas of the hotel. The adjoining ante-room proves particularly useful - we've seen it serve as everything from a gift table area at birthday parties to a cocktail bar during wedding receptions. Some hosts use it as a quiet space where guests can catch up away from the main celebration. The Georgian windows frame views across our parkland, creating natural talking points and photo opportunities throughout your event. Our events team knows exactly how to work with the Oak Room's character. Whether you're planning a sophisticated cocktail party, an elegant dinner, or a relaxed celebration brunch, we adapt the space to match your vision. The room's position within the Mansion House means your guests can explore our other reception rooms and gardens during the evening, though many find themselves contentedly settled in this welcoming space for the entire celebration.
