The Queen's Room perfectly captures the spirit of our historic Armoury House with its bold blue and yellow walls that command attention from the moment you enter. This ground floor space, measuring 9.0 by 7.1 metres with impressive 4.2-metre high ceilings, offers a more intimate setting within our venue while maintaining all the grandeur you'd expect from a building dating back to 1537. Natural light pours through the large windows, framing views of the Artillery Garden where peacocks wander across the lawns. The original oak panelling runs along the walls, complementing the grand fireplace that serves as a natural focal point for drinks receptions. Above, portraits of historical figures including a young Queen Elizabeth II watch over your gathering, adding gravitas to board meetings and warmth to celebration dinners alike. We find the room works beautifully for various dining formats. For formal banquets, we can seat 40 guests comfortably, while cocktail-style receptions accommodate up to 60. The theatre setup for 50 works particularly well for presentations followed by dinner, with guests moving seamlessly between configurations. Our Searcys catering team excels in this space, whether serving a boardroom lunch for 20 or an elaborate five-course dinner. The Queen's Room's position on the ground floor means easy access for all guests, with the option to open onto the gardens during warmer months. Just two minutes' walk from Moorgate station, your guests can transition from City bustle to our tranquil five-acre estate remarkably quickly.
