The Bar Lounge at Chapter Edgbaston transforms throughout the day as sunlight streams through the large windows overlooking Greenfield Crescent, casting warm patterns across the contemporary furnishings. We've designed this semi-private space to feel like an extension of your own living room, just with better cocktails and a professional kitchen at your disposal. The room holds up to 50 guests for standing receptions or 30 for seated dinners, with flexible seating arrangements that we adjust based on your event style. Yellow and orange accents punctuate the neutral palette, while modern art pieces from local artists add personality to the walls. The space flows naturally into our main restaurant, allowing guests to order from our seasonal British menu or enjoy specially created canapés and bowl food for more casual gatherings. Our bar team has crafted a cocktail list that complements Chef Director Ben Ternent's dishes, using the same attention to local ingredients that earned us spots in the Good Food Guide's Best 100 Local Restaurants for 2023 and 2024. The professional PA system handles everything from background music to presentations, while Wi-Fi and air conditioning keep everyone comfortable regardless of the occasion. Ground-level access makes arrival simple for all guests, with accessible restrooms nearby and our own car park eliminating the usual Birmingham parking hassles. We're just a short tram ride from the city centre, though many locals prefer the pleasant walk through Edgbaston Village. The Bar Lounge works particularly well for birthday celebrations, product launches, and corporate drinks receptions where hosts want a more relaxed atmosphere than a formal dining room provides. Our events team collaborates with you to arrange the space exactly as you envision it, whether that means cocktails and conversation or a three-course dinner starting at £31 per person.
