The Library feels like stepping into your own private members' club for the evening. Rich mahogany bookshelves filled with leather-bound volumes wrap around the room, while our grand antique table takes centre stage, comfortably seating 15 for dinner. We've found this space works brilliantly for wine tastings, where guests can browse the books between courses, or for celebratory dinners where the intimate setting keeps conversation flowing. The velvet chairs have been chosen for both elegance and comfort, because we know long dinners deserve proper seating. Wall sconces cast a warm glow across the portraits and mirrors, though we often supplement with candlelight for evening events. The room adapts surprisingly well, accommodating 30 guests for drinks receptions when we clear the central table, or maintaining its boardroom layout for 14 when formality matters.
