This remarkable space brings together dark wood panelling, gilded mirrors that catch the light just so, and those extraordinary tapestries that give the room its name, each one a masterpiece of textile art that draws guests into conversation before they've even taken their first drink. We've designed the room to work brilliantly for different occasions, whether you're planning a wedding reception for 110 guests mingling with champagne in hand, or an intimate dinner party for 50 around candlelit tables. The original parquet flooring has been lovingly maintained, its warm tones complementing the grandeur above, while the ornate fireplace anchors the room with genuine Victorian presence. Modern essentials blend seamlessly with the historical features. Our PA system handles everything from wedding speeches to party playlists, and the Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected without a single cable in sight. When evening falls, our lighting system transforms the space, highlighting the tapestries' rich colours or creating softer moods for dancing. With our late licence running until 1am, celebrations can properly unfold without watching the clock. The room's Knightsbridge location puts you within a five-minute walk of both Gloucester Road and South Kensington stations. Your guests can explore Harrods or the Victoria and Albert Museum beforehand, making a full day of their visit.
