When you book our entire medieval farmstead, these 50 acres of Devon countryside become your private wedding estate. Three converted barns work together to create your celebration, each bringing its own character to different moments of your day. Our timber-framed Bridesmere Bridge has become the ceremony spot couples request most often. Morning light catches the lake water beneath it in a way that photographers particularly love. For those preferring an indoor ceremony, the Rose Barn bathes your vows in sunlight throughout the day, with windows that frame the Teign Valley views perfectly. The main celebration happens in Swallow Barn, where exposed stone walls and wooden beams create an atmosphere that's both grand and intimate. We've hosted up to 110 guests here, with couples arranging everything from long wooden trestle tables running the length of the barn to clusters of round tables scattered throughout. Fairy lights strung overhead and lanterns on tables transform the space as evening falls. An old piano sits in the corner, which we've seen used for everything from guest performances to simply holding the wedding cake. What sets us apart is the complete freedom you have over your day. Bring in the caterers who understand your taste, whether that's a local chef creating a five-course feast or food trucks serving late-night snacks. Choose your own florists, musicians, and decorators. We provide the canvas; you create the masterpiece. Our three barns sleep 22 guests in rooms that blend original features with proper heating and modern bathrooms. Additional guests often stay in bell tents we arrange in the meadow, while you newlyweds can escape to our off-grid woodland cabin. With complimentary parking and accessible facilities throughout, every practical detail supports your celebration without intruding on it.
