The West-facing Deck sits right at the heart of what makes Tamesis Dock special. This outdoor space on our 1930s Dutch barge catches every golden hour perfectly, with Parliament and the London Eye forming your event's backdrop. We've watched countless groups stop mid-conversation when the sun starts its descent behind Westminster, painting the Thames in colours that no lighting designer could replicate. The deck comfortably holds 40 standing guests, or we can arrange cabaret-style seating for 30 if you prefer people to have a proper base for the evening. The wooden planking underfoot and simple furniture keep things unpretentious, while the railings frame rather than obstruct those river views. It's semi-private too, so you get your own corner of the boat while still feeling the energy of London flowing past. Our onboard kitchen keeps the food coming fresh throughout your event, and the bar team know their way around both craft cocktails and a proper pint. The PA system handles everything from background jazz to full party mode, and yes, we've got that late license sorted so nobody's checking their watch at 11pm. The deck really comes alive as dusk falls, when the city lights start twinkling and the Thames reflects it all back. Private dinners work beautifully up here, as do engagement parties where everyone wants that perfect photo. Corporate groups seem to relax faster with a river breeze and a view, while birthday celebrations tend to spill between the deck and our lower spaces as the night develops. Christmas parties under the stars with mulled wine, summer gatherings that run until the small hours, we've hosted them all. The deck transforms with the seasons but never loses that sense of being somewhere completely different from any landlocked venue.
