The Captain's Table brings together the best of our heritage building with everything you need for a successful private gathering. Up to 14 guests can gather around the solid wooden table that gives this room its name, surrounded by the original exposed brickwork that tells the story of Edward Pavilion's industrial past. Those floor-to-ceiling windows are the real showpiece here. From your seats, you'll watch boats drift past on the Royal Albert Dock while natural light pours across the table throughout the day. Come evening, the dock lights reflect off the water, creating an atmosphere that transforms business dinners into something rather more special. We've softened the industrial elements with thoughtful touches. A canopy of greenery overhead is woven with ambient lighting, while carefully chosen artwork breaks up the brick walls. The plush seating means your guests can settle in comfortably, whether they're here for a two-hour lunch meeting or a leisurely celebration dinner that stretches into the evening. The room works brilliantly for different occasions. Corporate teams book it for strategy sessions and client entertainment, while families love it for milestone birthdays and anniversaries. The intimate scale means everyone around the table can properly connect, yet there's enough space that it never feels cramped. Being upstairs gives you privacy while staying connected to the energy of the restaurant below. Our service team knows exactly how to pace things for your group, whether that's keeping coffee topped up during working lunches or timing courses perfectly for celebration dinners. The WiFi and air conditioning handle the practical side, while the dock views handle the rest. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with excellent transport links throughout Liverpool and the cultural attractions of Albert Dock right on the doorstep.
