At The Alwyne Castle, our Garden Semi Private Area transforms from a sun-drenched afternoon hangout into an enchanted evening party space, complete with fairy lights threading through mature trees and candles flickering on wooden tables. This section of our beer garden gives you the best of both worlds - you're part of the pub's energy while having your own defined space for up to 200 guests standing or 100 seated around our sturdy wooden tables. The dedicated bar in this area keeps your party flowing smoothly. No one misses out on the celebrations by queuing inside, and our staff know exactly how to keep drinks topped up whether you're toasting a 40th birthday or wrapping up the company summer party. The mix of gravel paths and wooden decking underfoot adds character while the wicker chairs and benches give everyone plenty of options for settling in with their pints. We've strung those fairy lights deliberately to create pockets of light that work brilliantly for evening celebrations. The large umbrellas that shade afternoon gatherings fold away to reveal the canopy of lights above, while our outdoor heaters extend the party season well into autumn. Groups particularly love how the surrounding greenery and mature trees create natural boundaries, making the space feel tucked away despite being minutes from Highbury & Islington station.
