Our Terrace transforms into a secret garden high above the Thames, where artificial grass meets real London views. Wire chairs and wooden benches topped with plush cushions create intimate conversation spots, while high tables let guests mingle with drinks in hand as Tower Bridge frames the horizon. We've tucked this outdoor space behind glass doors that open directly from our main restaurant, giving you a natural flow between inside and out. The greenery isn't subtle—planters overflow with flowers, creating walls of colour that make you forget you're on the first floor of the old Design Museum building at Butlers Wharf. Large umbrellas dot the space, offering shade during those long summer afternoons when the sun reflects off the river below. Twenty-five guests fit comfortably for standing receptions here, and we find the space works beautifully for the cocktail hour of larger parties or as an escape for smaller groups wanting something more intimate. The artificial grass means no muddy heels, while the mix of seating options—from those sculptural wire chairs to the cushioned benches—gives everyone a spot to settle with their champagne. What makes our Terrace special is how it feels both connected to and separate from the city. You're looking out at Canary Wharf's towers and watching boats cruise past on the Thames, but surrounded by flowers and greenery that create your own private world. The high tables work perfectly for canapés and drinks, and when evening comes, the city lights create an atmosphere you simply can't replicate indoors. Summer parties here have a particular magic, though we've seen guests brave the Terrace well into autumn, drawn by views that change with every tide and sunset.
