The River Room wraps around the corner of our building like a glass-walled jewel box, where 35 guests can dine while watching boats glide past on the Thames below. We've arranged the space with both round and rectangular tables dressed in white linen, creating an intimate atmosphere that works equally well for milestone birthdays, corporate dinners, or family celebrations. What catches everyone's eye first are the sculptural animal heads mounted along one wall, each one a conversation starter that adds unexpected character to the refined setting. Our pendant lights cast a warm glow over the tables come evening, though during lunch service, daylight pours through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the space naturally. From your seat, St. Paul's Cathedral dominates the skyline view, with the river traffic providing constant entertainment between courses. We've hosted everything from anniversary dinners to product launches here, and the combination of privacy and those spectacular views creates something special every time. The room's corner position means you're surrounded by the cityscape on two sides, giving different tables varying perspectives of London's landmarks. Our seasonal menus work particularly well in this space, where the intimacy allows for proper conversation over each course. The dedicated service team knows exactly when to appear and when to fade into the background, letting your gathering unfold at its own pace. Being part of Shakespeare's Globe adds another layer to events here, with many groups combining theatre tickets with their dining experience. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with Cannon Street station just across the river. The River Room sits away from our main restaurant's bustle, giving you complete privacy while still having access to our full kitchen capabilities and wine cellar selections that we've developed over the years.
