We've created distinct areas that work beautifully together, with our upstairs bar featuring high seating where guests naturally gather around our extensive champagne and wine collection. The bartenders here know their craft, pouring everything from vintage champagnes to creative cocktails while your party finds its rhythm. The ground level transforms the mood completely with plush sofas and armchairs arranged for conversation, all beneath an ornate chandelier that casts warm light across the dark walls. Those original parquet floors have witnessed countless celebrations, and the adjoining side rooms give you flexibility, each with its own private bathroom for added comfort during longer events. We can accommodate up to 80 guests for standing receptions, or seat 60 for formal dining beneath those high Georgian ceilings. The natural light streaming through our large windows during afternoon gatherings creates a particularly inviting atmosphere, while evenings bring a more intimate feel perfect for birthday parties, engagement celebrations, or corporate entertaining. Our position on Park Street puts you right in Bristol's centre, with Temple Meads station making it simple for guests travelling from further afield. The bar team adapts service to match your event style, whether that's table service for seated dinners or a flowing drinks reception where guests move between the different levels. Alfred's Bar works brilliantly as part of a larger Goldbrick House celebration or as a self-contained venue.
