Über The Wine Room
70 Sitzplätze
The Wine Room sits beneath the main restaurant floor, where whitewashed walls meet industrial ceiling ducts in a space that feels like discovering a secret garden underground. We've trained ivy and pothos to cascade down the walls between our collection of industrial pendant lights, creating pockets of green that soften the urban edges of our Clerkenwell building. Our modular tables and chairs shift easily to suit your party's needs, whether you're planning a sit-down dinner for 70 or want more room for mingling between courses. The dedicated bar down here looks directly into our temperature-controlled wine cellar, where guests can watch our team pull bottles while they sip aperitivos. Those floor-to-ceiling glass panels make choosing the next round feel like browsing an art gallery. Natural light still finds its way down through carefully positioned windows, mixing with the warm glow from our Edison bulbs to create that perfect party atmosphere, no matter the time of day. The acoustics work brilliantly too, the exposed ductwork and textured walls mean conversations flow without that echo you sometimes get in basement spaces. We've equipped The Wine Room with full AV capabilities, so whether you need to project photos for a birthday montage or run presentations during a product launch, everything connects seamlessly. The private bar means your bartender stays close, keeping glasses filled without anyone having to venture upstairs. Just a short walk from Barbican Underground, our lower level offers its own street access for easy guest flow. The combination of rustic brick, living plants, and that view into our wine collection creates an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and wonderfully relaxed, the kind of space where parties naturally extend into the small hours.
