The Function Room upstairs captures everything we love about our 17th-century pub, with those same original timber beams creating an intimate atmosphere overhead. This versatile space comfortably hosts 60 guests standing or 35 seated, making it particularly popular for birthday parties, wedding receptions, baby showers, and celebration dinners. Step inside and you'll find exposed brick walls alongside that distinctive large wooden wheel that's become something of a talking point. The vintage-style wallpaper adds character without overwhelming the space, while natural light pours through the windows during daytime events. We've mixed traditional wooden chairs with comfortable armchairs, so you can arrange the room exactly as you need it. The large screen works brilliantly for photo slideshows during celebrations or presentations if you're hosting a more formal gathering. You're welcome to bring your own catering or we can arrange food for you, with all drinks coming from our well-stocked bar downstairs. We keep things simple with just a small refundable deposit and no minimum spend requirements. Being on Cippenham Lane means your guests can easily find us, with good transport connections nearby. The room's warm, rustic feel mirrors the main pub below, where your guests might enjoy a drink on our sunny patio before heading upstairs, or continue the celebration afterwards with our regular live music nights. From Christmas parties that spill into the main bar later to intimate family gatherings that need their own space, the Function Room offers that perfect balance of privacy and pub atmosphere. The exposed beams and brick walls create a backdrop that suits any occasion without needing much decoration, though you're welcome to add your own touches to make the space yours for the day.
