Walk into our Ballroom and you'll understand why couples choose this space for their wedding receptions year after year. The ornate ceiling soars above, where original chandeliers cast a warm glow across the room, while natural light pours through tall windows that frame views of our peaceful grounds. We can seat up to 55 guests for dinner here, though many prefer our buffet setup for 40, which creates more space for mingling and dancing. The room's character comes from its authentic period details, those gilded mirrors reflecting candlelight, the rich red upholstery on our chairs, and paintings that have watched over celebrations for generations. We dress tables in crisp white linens, letting the room's natural grandeur speak for itself. For corporate events, we can arrange the space classroom-style for 60, U-shaped for 34, or cabaret-style for 42, each layout taking advantage of the room's generous proportions. Our kitchen team creates everything from scratch, working with local suppliers we've partnered with for years. Whether you're planning passed canapés for a drinks reception (we can host up to 60 standing) or a full wedding breakfast, we adapt our menus to match your celebration. The PA system handles speeches beautifully, and you're welcome to bring your own music for the evening entertainment. Being positioned between Bristol and Bath works wonderfully for guests, with our complimentary parking removing any stress about finding spaces. Many wedding parties book our nine guest rooms, letting the celebration continue into the small hours without worrying about taxis. The Tower Suite, complete with its Victorian roll-top bath, proves particularly popular with couples wanting to wake up where they celebrated.
