Step through the grand doorway of the Cathedral Room and you'll find yourself in one of Canterbury's most spectacular party spaces. We've kept the original turquoise and gold colour scheme that gives this room its distinctive character, with high ceilings crowned by ornate mouldings and crystal chandeliers that catch the light beautifully throughout the day. The room comfortably hosts up to 150 guests for standing receptions, or we can arrange seating for 100 at round tables for more formal celebrations. Whether you're planning a milestone birthday, anniversary party, or wedding reception, the polished wooden floors are perfect for dancing, while the mirrors along one wall create an even more spacious feel and reflect the warm glow from our chandeliers. Natural light pours through the large windows that run along the walls, offering views across our gardens. Your guests can step directly onto the terrace through the French doors, giving them space to mingle outdoors with drinks in hand. The combination of indoor grandeur and outdoor access works particularly well for summer parties and evening celebrations. Just a 10-minute walk brings you to Canterbury City Centre, so guests staying locally can easily reach us, while those travelling from further afield appreciate our free on-site parking. The Dover Ferry Terminal sits just 20 minutes away by car, convenient for international visitors. Our events team works with trusted caterers to provide everything from cocktail canapés to three-course dinners, and the newly refurbished Westfield Bar serves as an ideal pre-party gathering spot. We can arrange group accommodation rates for guests who'd like to stay overnight after celebrating, with breakfast served in our Fountain Room the next morning.
