Maritime history meets modern celebration beneath the soaring glass roof of the National Maritime Museum's Ocean Court. We've watched this dramatic atrium transform from morning conference space to evening gala venue, its natural light shifting across the unique Ocean Map that covers the floor below. The space itself tells a story, with maritime exhibits and historic statues providing conversation starters between your guests throughout the event. Round tables can be arranged across the Ocean Map for 550 seated guests, or we can open up the entire court for receptions hosting up to 1,000 people. The glass ceiling creates an ever-changing atmosphere as daylight fades to evening, while our built-in lighting and sound systems ensure your entertainment looks and sounds spectacular. For banquets requiring both dining space and entertainment, we configure 580 seats alongside a stage and dance floor. During warmer months, your guests naturally flow between the Ocean Court and our stone colonnades, with pre-dinner drinks often extending onto the southwest lawn. The maritime exhibits surrounding the space become part of your event, whether that's product launches using our nautical backdrops, award ceremonies beneath the atrium, or wedding receptions where couples dance on the Ocean Map itself. Our position near both ExCel and Canary Wharf makes corporate events particularly convenient, with the Cutty Sark DLR station just outside and Greenwich mainline station a short walk away. Zone 2 location means your guests reach us easily from central London, while riverboat arrivals at Greenwich Pier add a memorable touch.
