The Courtyard brings the outdoors inside across 73 square meters of thoughtfully designed terrace space on our first floor. Wooden decking underfoot and a living garden wall create an immediate sense of escape from the city below, while fairy lights strung overhead cast a warm glow as evening falls. We've installed a retractable roof that transforms the space with the seasons. Summer events spill out under open skies, while winter gatherings stay cozy with the roof closed and our open fireplace crackling. This flexibility means your celebration flows naturally whether it's a sun-drenched afternoon drinks reception or an intimate dinner under the stars. Our furnishing choices reflect the room's garden party feel, with tables dressed in rich jewel tones and comfortable seating that encourages conversation. The space accommodates 24 guests for seated dinners or opens up for 40 at standing receptions. For larger celebrations, we can open the connecting doors to The Blue Room and Library, creating an expanded flow across the entire first floor. The terrace layout works beautifully for wedding ceremonies, where couples exchange vows surrounded by greenery and natural light. Corporate clients use the space for product launches and networking events, taking advantage of the outdoor atmosphere while remaining protected from unpredictable British weather. Birthday parties and anniversary celebrations feel special here, with the garden setting adding natural decoration to any theme.
