Our Downstairs Party Area sits right opposite the main bar, where rustic brick walls meet twinkling fairy lights and conversations flow as freely as the craft beer from our 23 taps. This semi-private corner of The Dark Horse has become a favourite spot for birthday celebrations and work gatherings, with enough space for 40 guests standing or 25 seated around our quirky collection of tables. The exposed brick creates an intimate backdrop while fairy lights string overhead cast a warm glow across the room. We've arranged the furniture to encourage mingling, though you can easily reconfigure the layout to suit your celebration. Being steps from the bar means your guests can explore our extensive beer selection, including local favourites from Attic and GlassHouse, without missing any of the party action. Our kitchen stays busy sending out smash burgers and crispy fried chicken throughout the evening, all sourced from local suppliers we've worked with for years. The semi-private setup gives you your own defined space while still catching the energy from the main pub, especially on live music nights when local bands fill the venue with sound. Natural light streams in during afternoon gatherings, while evening parties take on a different character entirely under the ambient lighting. We've installed air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable year-round, and the space includes full wheelchair access and accessible facilities. You'll find us on Alcester Road at the edge of Moseley Village, just a short walk from local transport connections. Whether you're planning a milestone birthday or getting the team together for drinks after work, our Downstairs Party Area offers that perfect balance of privacy and pub atmosphere that makes celebrations feel both special and refreshingly relaxed.
