Aircraft suspended overhead create an immediate impact as guests enter our Atrium, where a Battle of Britain Spitfire and towering V2 rocket transform this Grade II-listed space into something far beyond a typical party venue. These aren't replicas, they're the real thing, and watching guests' faces light up as they spot them never gets old. We configure this dramatic space to suit your celebration. For cocktail parties and receptions, we accommodate up to 450 guests who naturally flow between the aircraft displays, creating organic conversation areas throughout the room. When you're planning a seated dinner, we arrange tables for 380 beneath the suspended exhibits, where the high ceilings and thoughtful lighting scheme highlight both the historic pieces and your celebration below. The acoustics in our Atrium work particularly well for parties. Music and conversation create energy without becoming overwhelming, whether you're hosting a milestone birthday, anniversary celebration, or corporate party. Our integrated AV and audio systems handle everything from background music to live bands, and the open floor plan gives plenty of room for dancing once dinner plates are cleared. Foster + Partners designed this space with flexibility in mind. We regularly transform it from daytime museum to evening party venue, using professional lighting to create different moods throughout your event. The aircraft cast dramatic shadows as the lighting changes, adding visual interest as your celebration evolves from arrival drinks through to late-night dancing. Our experienced events team handles parties of all types here, from black-tie galas to relaxed celebrations. The museum setting adds something special, guests often arrive early to explore the exhibits, extending the experience beyond the party itself. Just minutes from Lambeth North and Waterloo stations, your guests can easily reach us from across London, with plenty of late-night transport options when the party ends.
