Our Billiard Room draws people in with its original 1950s stained glass artwork by John Piper, a kaleidoscope of colours that transforms throughout the day as natural light shifts through the panels. Here at Sanderson London in Fitzrovia, we've preserved this piece of history while creating a space that works brilliantly for modern celebrations. The antique silver-leafed billiard table anchors the room, surrounded by our collection of antler furniture that gives the space its distinctive lodge-like character. We can arrange the 75 square meters to suit your event, whether that's 50 guests mingling with cocktails, 40 seated for dinner, or a more intimate gathering of 24 around the boardroom table. The sleek modern staircase adds architectural drama, creating interesting levels and perspectives for photography. For birthday parties and anniversary celebrations, the room creates an atmosphere somewhere between a private club and an artist's salon. Wedding receptions here feel particularly special, with the stained glass casting coloured light across the space as evening falls. Corporate celebrations and product launches benefit from the plasma monitors and smart boards we've integrated discretely into the design. Our in-house catering team crafts menus specifically for each event, accommodating various dietary requirements. The soft lighting and plush seating encourage guests to linger over dinner or settle in for longer celebrations. Many hosts combine their events with our other spaces, perhaps starting with cocktails in Purple Bar before moving here for dinner. You'll find us between Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road stations, making arrival straightforward for guests coming from anywhere in London. The Billiard Room offers something genuinely different from typical party venues, a space where mid-century artistry meets contemporary celebration.
