The Baronial Dining Room sits tucked away in our medieval building, where stone walls and intricate wooden carvings create an atmosphere that takes you back centuries. We've carefully preserved this intimate space, which once served as the private dining quarters for college staff, and today it welcomes groups of up to 14 guests around our grand dining table. Rich red upholstery on our carved chairs contrasts beautifully with the ancient stonework, while leaded windows frame views of Manchester's modern architecture just beyond these 600-year-old walls. Our wooden sideboard, a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship, stands as testament to the room's heritage. The table comes dressed with fine glassware and fresh floral arrangements, ready for your private dinner or boardroom gathering. We've equipped the room with everything needed for contemporary events: Wi-Fi connects you to the outside world, while our projector, flatscreen TV and audio system handle presentations with ease. The dedicated kitchen adjoining the room means refreshments flow smoothly throughout your meeting or meal, with no interruptions to your discussions. Corporate groups often choose this space for board meetings and strategy sessions, finding that the weight of history adds gravitas to important decisions. Private dining here feels particularly special, whether you're celebrating a milestone birthday, hosting potential investors, or gathering family for an anniversary dinner. We can also arrange guided tours of the library for your guests, letting them explore the very rooms where Karl Marx and Engels once debated their revolutionary ideas.
