When you book the entire Hawksmoor Spitalfields, you're taking over two floors of what has become an East London institution. Just a 2-minute walk from Shoreditch High Street station, wedged between Spitalfields Market and the curry houses of Brick Lane, we've been cooking 35-day dry-aged beef over real charcoal since we first opened these doors. The ground floor dining room fits 100 guests seated, with exposed brick walls that tell the building's history and dark wood furnishings that have aged beautifully over the years. Long tables run beneath warm lighting, parquet floors reflect the glow from our open kitchen, and the whole space hums with that particular energy you only get when good food meets good company. We set everything properly, from the weight of the cutlery to the polish on the glassware, because these details matter when you're hosting. Downstairs tells a different story. Our Spitalfields Bar holds 110 standing, and it's won awards as the world's best restaurant cocktail bar, twice. Leather banquettes line mirrored walls, vintage glassware catches the light behind the bar, and our bartenders mix drinks with seasonal ingredients and forgotten British spirits. The basement has its own entrance, so your cocktail reception can flow naturally into dinner upstairs, or you can keep the whole evening down here with canapés and small plates. We've fitted both floors with PA systems, flatscreen TVs, and proper air conditioning. Our alcohol licence runs until 11:30 PM, and we can arrange live music or DJs when you want them. Christmas parties fill the dining room with long tables and festive cheer, corporate functions use both floors for networking and dining, milestone birthdays often start with cocktails downstairs before moving up for the feast. Whatever brings you here, you'll get the same grass-fed native breed beef, sustainable British seafood, and straightforward cooking that made our Sunday roast the UK's best.
