The Basement beneath The Slaughtered Lamb pulses with the kind of energy that makes Clerkenwell nights legendary. Down the stairs from Great Sutton Street, our underground space wraps 100 standing guests in exposed brick walls and dark reclaimed wood, all bathed in the pink glow of our famous neon pentagram. We've created something different down here, a space that works as hard as you party. Our speakeasy-style bar stocks everything from local craft beers to premium spirits, while the professional sound system that powers our regular comedy nights and live gigs stands ready for your DJ or playlist. The acoustics handle both amplified sets and acoustic performances beautifully, whether you're hosting 60 for a seated dinner or 50 in our cabaret layout. Plush leather couches line the walls between high stools and standing space, giving your guests options as the night unfolds. Our stage sits perfectly positioned so everyone gets a clear view, and we've kept the lighting warm against the wooden bar accents, creating pockets of conversation even when the music's pumping. The versatility shows in our kit too, with projector, PA system, whiteboards and flipcharts all on hand for those corporate events that need a creative edge. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable when the dance floor fills up, and our Wi-Fi stays strong throughout. Our in-house catering runs from sharing platters to full dinners, matched by a drinks selection that keeps everyone happy. Just minutes from Farringdon Station, we're easy to find but hard to forget. Our team works with you from first enquiry to last orders, making sure The Basement delivers exactly what your celebration needs. Birthday parties, work socials, product launches, whatever brings you underground, we'll help you create something your guests will still be talking about Monday morning.
