Our Large Vault takes private dining underground, quite literally. Behind the heavy door at the bottom of our stone stairs, you'll find a space where exposed brick walls curve into vaulted ceilings, creating a cocoon away from Covent Garden's crowds above. We've kept the original brickwork visible, its warm terracotta tones complemented by our signature red leather chairs that line the dining tables. The black-and-white checkered floor adds a classic brasserie touch to what could otherwise feel like a wine cellar, while carefully positioned spotlights pick out the architectural details without overwhelming the intimate atmosphere. We can arrange the space for 30 guests seated around banquet tables, perfect for those long celebration dinners where conversation flows between courses. For drinks receptions or more informal gatherings, we regularly host up to 40 people, with guests naturally gravitating to different corners of the vault as the evening progresses. Down here, the acoustics work in your favour, containing the energy of your group without the echo you might expect from stone walls. We've hosted everything from corporate dinners where deals get discussed over dessert to birthday parties that stretch well into the evening. The separation from our main restaurant means your group can set its own pace without worrying about other diners. Our kitchen sends down the same seasonal British menu available upstairs, though we're happy to create bespoke menus for private groups. The service team knows how to read a room, staying attentive during formal presentations or melting into the background when toasts are being made. Being right in the heart of Covent Garden means your guests can easily find us, with the underground vault providing an unexpected contrast to the tourist-filled piazza just metres above your head.
