The Drawing Room welcomes you with hand-painted Chinese silk wallpaper, where delicate flowers bloom across every surface in soft pinks and greens. We've watched countless couples exchange their first kiss as newlyweds beneath our crystal chandeliers, while afternoon light catches the gilt frames of our floor-to-ceiling mirrors. This room has a particular magic for celebrations. The grand piano in the corner has accompanied everything from jazz quartets during cocktail hours to surprise birthday serenades. During winter parties, guests naturally gather around our original fireplace, champagne in hand, while the warmth spreads across the intricate patterns of our heritage carpet. We can arrange the Drawing Room to suit your celebration perfectly. For cocktail receptions, we accommodate up to 140 guests who can flow freely between the piano, the fireplace seating area, and the bar we position near the windows. For seated dinner parties, we create an intimate atmosphere for 80 guests, with round tables that encourage conversation and our chandeliers dimmed to create the perfect ambiance. The room's proportions work beautifully for wedding ceremonies too, with chairs arranged in neat rows facing the fireplace, where couples often choose to say their vows. Fresh flowers from our regular florist complement the wallpaper's botanical themes, and we've seen everything from towering arrangements to simple posies scattered along the mantelpiece. Our location in the City means your guests can easily reach us via Bank, Liverpool Street, or Moorgate stations. Once they step through our medieval archway off Threadneedle Street, the Drawing Room offers a complete escape from the financial district outside.
