Our bar area works perfectly as a private meeting space, tucked away from the main rooms with its own entrance from Bloomsbury Way. The large windows that line one wall mean you're working in natural light while watching the neighbourhood go about its day, and we find this helps keep energy levels up during longer sessions. The space comfortably fits 8 people around tables for presentations or working meetings, though we can accommodate up to 15 if you prefer a more informal standing arrangement. We've kept the original wooden tables and chairs, which pair nicely with the white walls and period moldings. The working bar along one wall gives the room character, and while we don't serve drinks during business meetings, it does make for an interesting backdrop. For presentations, we've installed a TV screen and projector that connect easily to laptops, plus there's a PA system for when you need clear audio. The setup works well for training sessions, team meetings, or creative workshops. Several tech startups use the space for their quarterly reviews, and recruitment firms book it regularly for candidate assessment days. The room can get warm when full, particularly on sunny afternoons when light streams through those windows. We usually prop them open for ventilation, though you'll hear some street sounds from Bloomsbury Way below. Most groups don't mind - it reminds them they're in central London rather than a sterile office park. You're welcome to bring in your own catering, and there's enough space to set up a lunch buffet along the bar area. Holborn Station is just a few minutes' walk, and being so close to the British Museum means your attendees have plenty of options for coffee or lunch breaks. The separate entrance means your meeting stays private, even when other events are happening in our main building.

The space was good – except perhaps a bit warm and stuffy. We opened the windows as soon as we got in to air it out a bit. Near the end, it was getting warm again, even with the windows open. Because my team is a team of designers, the resolution on the tv screen wasn't...
