The Mortimer Room sits on the ground floor of our Wimbledon Building, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the gardens beyond. Natural light pours across the space throughout the day, illuminating rich purple chairs arranged precisely for your next gathering. We've hosted everything here from board meetings for 22 to theatre presentations for 50, each configuration working naturally within the room's thoughtful proportions. Those garden views do more than just provide scenery. During strategy sessions, participants often find themselves gazing out as ideas percolate, while training groups appreciate the visual breathing space between intensive modules. The integrated projector and screen handle your presentations smoothly, whilst air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable whether you're deep in discussion on a summer afternoon or working through winter planning sessions. Our venue spans 25 acres along the Thames, with Teddington station just over a kilometre away for your London-based attendees. The heritage building houses contemporary meeting facilities like the Mortimer Room, where traditional architecture meets modern functionality. We provide complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, flipcharts for brainstorming sessions, and all the small touches that keep meetings flowing. The room adapts effortlessly between formats. Yesterday's boardroom setup for 22 executives transforms into today's classroom arrangement for 18 trainees, then tomorrow's cabaret layout for 21 workshop participants. U-shaped configurations accommodate 24 for interactive discussions, whilst reception style welcomes up to 50 for networking events. Ground floor access means no navigating stairs with equipment or materials. The space connects easily to our other facilities, allowing for breakout sessions in the gardens or lunch on the terrace. Teams particularly value how the riverside setting and mature grounds create a productive atmosphere distinctly different from city meeting rooms.
