The wood paneling catches the afternoon light just right in the Caxton Room, creating that focused atmosphere you need for board meetings of up to 8 people. This compact space works brilliantly for different setups. Configure it boardroom-style for 8, theatre-style for 10, or standing receptions of 15 guests. The large window overlooking Bride Lane (near Fleet Street) floods the room with natural light, while the wooden floors and carefully chosen artwork create a professional yet comfortable environment for your discussions. Our venue sits just minutes from both Blackfriars and City Thameslink stations, making it simple for participants to reach us from anywhere in London. Step-free access via St. Bride's Passage ensures ease of use for all attendees. The Caxton Room is an intimate space and includes reliable Wi-Fi. We have an HDTV available for hire for presentations, as well as flipcharts for hire. Many clients use this as their main meeting room, while others book it alongside our larger Salisbury Room next door, using Caxton for registration, catering, or breakout sessions. The flexibility extends to refreshments too. Our in-house team and partner caterers can prepare anything from working lunches to afternoon tea, or you're welcome to bring external caterers for a small fee. We also offer BYO alcohol options (for corkage fees) for those informal evening gatherings. The peaceful atmosphere makes it particularly good for strategy sessions, interviews, and small training workshops. Board meetings benefit from the lack of distractions, while creative teams appreciate the natural light and historic surroundings that somehow spark better ideas than the usual corporate meeting rooms. Please note this room does NOT have air conditioning.
