Our boardroom on the first floor opens onto some of the best views we have, with the Devon countryside rolling away through those big windows. The Lawrence Room works brilliantly for executive meetings, where up to 10 people can gather around the boardroom table without feeling cramped. We've arranged the space so everyone has a clear sightline to both their colleagues and those garden views, which our regular clients tell us helps keep discussions flowing naturally. The room catches the morning sun beautifully, and we keep the decor deliberately understated, letting the greenery outside do the talking. Your team will find all the practical bits already in place, flip charts positioned where you need them, fresh stationery laid out, and water bottles chilled and ready. The chairs are properly supportive for those longer strategy sessions, and the table gives everyone enough space for laptops and papers without elbowing their neighbour. Being on the first floor means you're away from the main hotel bustle, though you'll need to take the stairs up from reception as we don't have a lift. Many groups actually prefer this separation, it creates a more focused atmosphere for getting down to business. If you need a different setup, we can arrange theatre-style seating for 16 people, though most executive teams stick with the boardroom layout. Our regular meeting guests particularly value the peaceful setting, telling us it's perfect for those sessions where you need everyone's full attention on strategic planning. The countryside location, about six miles from Exeter Central station, means you're close enough for easy travel but far enough from city distractions. Free Wi-Fi reaches throughout, and we've plenty of parking spaces for your whole team.
