The Emerson Room commands attention with its quartet of tall windows flooding the space with Bloomsbury daylight. We've preserved the original architectural details here, from the recessed ceiling arches to the warm wooden floors that have welcomed delegates for over a century. At 7.5 by 6.76 metres with impressive 3.6-metre high ceilings, the room breathes despite its intimate scale. Our U-shaped table configuration works particularly well in this space, accommodating up to 22 delegates who appreciate being able to see everyone clearly during discussions. For presentations, we can reconfigure to theatre style for 36 attendees, or create a more social atmosphere with banquet seating for 30. The room's proportions also suit standing receptions for up to 40 guests, especially when combined with our courtyard access. The natural light changes character throughout the day, moving across the wooden floors and highlighting the contemporary artwork we've chosen to complement the period features. Our natural cooling system maintains comfort without intrusive noise, while the reliable Wi-Fi and video conferencing equipment handle all modern connectivity needs seamlessly. Many groups choose Emerson for board meetings and strategy sessions where focus matters. The combination of historical gravitas and practical amenities creates an environment conducive to clear thinking. Recent feedback particularly noted how well the space works when extended into our courtyard, allowing natural breaks between intensive sessions. Transport couldn't be simpler from this Bloomsbury location, with multiple stations within walking distance. The surrounding area offers plenty of options for lunch or after-meeting gatherings, though many groups prefer to remain within our building, making use of our catering services and that surprisingly peaceful garden space.

The room we had was lovely - a little small but we were able to spread out into the courtyard, so that was great. Staff on site were 100% helpful and professional the whole day. Will definitely use again.
