The Debating Chamber carries the weight of history in its very walls. When councillors once debated town matters here, they sat in these same tiered, semi-circular rows that now welcome your delegates. We've kept the original 1935 configuration intact, creating a natural amphitheatre where up to 30 participants can engage in focused discussion around the U-shaped seating arrangement. Sunlight streams through the curved windows that follow the chamber's distinctive shape, illuminating the rich wood panelling and leather seats that have witnessed decades of important decisions. The elevated podium at the centre still commands the room as powerfully as it did ninety years ago, making presentations feel more like addresses to parliament than routine meetings. These Art Deco details, from the geometric patterns to the warm wood tones, create an atmosphere where serious business happens naturally. Our venue sits in central Leatherhead, and you'll find the chamber particularly well-suited for training sessions where that tiered seating ensures everyone has clear sightlines.
