The Roof Garden Proper Office tenants often discover this fourth-floor terrace by accident, wandering up during a coffee break and finding themselves among the herb planters and flowering shrubs that our facilities team nurture year-round. The 1,200 square feet of wooden decking wraps around the building, creating different zones where we've watched teams brainstorm around the picnic tables or practice presentations with the Shoreditch skyline as backdrop. Summer transforms the space completely. We set up 100 standing places for product launches and networking events, though many groups prefer the more intimate arrangement of 40 seats scattered between the planters. The metal chairs and wooden tables move easily, so morning strategy sessions flow into afternoon celebrations without missing a beat. Natural light floods every corner, making those 3pm energy dips less noticeable, while the city views remind everyone why they chose to work in East London. Our reception team coordinate access throughout the day, managing the flow between indoor meeting rooms and this outdoor sanctuary. They'll point out the designated smoking area tucked behind the larger planters and explain how the space works for different group sizes. Recent teams have used the garden for everything from creative workshops to client presentations, with several mentioning how the fresh air helped clear heads during intense planning sessions. Old Street and Shoreditch High Street stations both sit within a five-minute walk, with Liverpool Street not much further.
