The River Irwell flows just outside Conference Space One, where water sounds drift through the large windows that line three sides of this bright meeting room. Our venue's exposed wooden beams stretch across high vaulted ceilings, creating an atmosphere that feels both grand and welcoming, quite different from the usual corporate boardroom. We've configured this 10x15 metre space to work for various meeting styles. You can arrange tables for 40 people in boardroom format, set theatre-style seating for 70 delegates, create a U-shape for 35 participants, or go with cabaret rounds for 40 guests. The flexibility means your training workshops, board meetings, and focus groups all work equally well here. Natural light pours in throughout the day, with views across to the Cathedral providing a calming focal point when you need a moment to think. We've installed interactive whiteboards alongside traditional flipcharts, plus projectors and screens for presentations. Both wired and wireless high-speed broadband connections mean your tech runs smoothly, while air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable whether you're here in January or July. The medieval Hanging Bridge sits in our basement, a scheduled ancient monument that sometimes surprises first-time visitors. During breaks, people often wander down to see this piece of Manchester's history, or step into our shared breakout areas for coffee and conversation. Harvey Nichols handles our catering, bringing lunch options that elevate the usual sandwich selection. Multiple bus routes stop nearby, making the city centre location easy for everyone to reach. We open for day and evening bookings throughout the week and weekends. As a registered charity, each booking supports our community programmes, adding purpose to your productive day.
